Coming to Palmerston. September 26th 2026.

Something new is landing at the Palmerston Recreation Centre. Trade. Entertainment. Collectibles. Community Marketplace. Think of it as your local geek marketplace, a place where collectors, creators, gamers and curious minds come together to share what they love.

Browse tables filled with handmade art, collectibles, trading cards, comics, miniatures and all kinds of geeky treasures from local artists, makers and small businesses. Pull up a chair for a board game, watch a tabletop battle unfold, chat with creators about their latest projects, or simply spend the afternoon surrounded by people who get your fandom.

Whether you're hunting for something unique, showing off your latest cosplay, meeting fellow collectors, or introducing the kids to your favourite hobby, TECCM is all about celebrating the local geek community in a relaxed and welcoming space.

Built by the community, for the community, TECCM is a chance to support local creatives, discover new hobbies, make new friends and enjoy a laid-back day of all things geek.

Volunteers Needed!

WE NEED A FEW EXTRA HANDS AT TECCM!

TECCM 2026 is coming together, and we’re looking for some awesome people from our community who can volunteer a little time to help us make the day happen.

We’re looking for:

Early Bird Crew – 6 am: Help us lay the carpet and get the venue ready for the day.
Pokémon Players – during TECCM: Come play Pokémon and help us with the Pokémon activity! You absolutely DO NOT need to be an expert or competitive player — if you know how to play and are happy to have a game, we want you!
General Event Helpers – 12 pm–4 pm: Help us out around the event, support activities, help people find their way and lend a hand wherever needed.
Pack-Up Crew – from 4 pm: Help us pull up the carpet and get the venue packed down.

You don’t have to volunteer for the whole day; even helping with one role or for a couple of hours makes a huge difference.

TECCM is built by the geek community, for the geek community, and we’d love to have you on the crew.
